Art Therapy
Creative expression as a pathway to healing — this is part of our vision for the future.
The Vision
We believe that creativity can reach places words cannot. Our vision for art therapy encompasses multiple forms of expression — each offering a unique way to process emotions, release tension, and reconnect with oneself.
- Drawing & painting — visual expression to give shape to feelings that are hard to name
- Music — rhythm and sound as tools for grounding and emotional release
- Movement — gentle, body-based practices to help process trauma held in the body
- Crafts — hands-on making as a meditative, calming practice
- Sharing circles — safe group spaces where participants can share their creative work and stories without judgement
These sessions would be guided by trained art therapists and rooted in a trauma-informed approach, bridging Eastern contemplative traditions with evidence-based creative therapies.
Art therapy is not yet available through Hope House. We are actively seeking funding, qualified professionals, and partnerships to bring this vision to life. If you are a therapist, funder, or organisation interested in collaborating, please get in touch.
