Where We Operate

The Hope House of Ceylon is registered as a non-profit in the Netherlands, with people working alongside the organisation in Sri Lanka and plans to register there in time. We do not maintain permanent offices in either country — instead, we work through a distributed network of board members, volunteers, and partner venues.

Our events and workshops take place at various locations, from community spaces in Amsterdam and Diemen to cultural venues in Colombo. This flexible approach allows us to direct resources toward programmes rather than overhead.

🇳🇱 The Netherlands

Registered non-profit. Events held at community venues in Amsterdam, Diemen, and surrounding areas. Home base for our board and volunteer coordination.

🇱🇰 Sri Lanka

Local collaborators and future plans. The founding Asymmetry exhibition took place at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery in Colombo, and registration there remains part of our longer-term development.

Looking Ahead

We are a young organisation with an ambitious long-term vision. The goals below represent where we want to go — not promises, but aspirations that guide our work. Each step depends on the support of our community, partners, and donors.

Long-term Goal

Art Therapy Centre

Our long-term vision includes establishing a dedicated space for art therapy — a place where creative expression and clinical care come together. This remains a goal we are actively working toward, dependent on funding and partnerships.

Long-term Goal

Expanded Workshop Programme

We aim to grow our workshop series — including Cook for Joy & Mind and new formats around mindfulness, movement, and storytelling — to reach more communities in the Netherlands and Sri Lanka.

Long-term Goal

Professional Training & Academy

We envision a training programme for mental health professionals that integrates Eastern and Western methodologies — building capacity in both countries and creating a shared body of knowledge.

These goals are aspirational. We share them openly because we believe in transparency about where we are and where we hope to go. Your support helps bring these visions closer to reality.

Help Us Grow Our Impact

Every donation, every volunteer hour, every shared story brings us closer to our goals. Join us in building something that lasts.
